Privacy policy

This policy explains what information BRW LLC ("BRW", "we", "us") collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers getbrw.com, our emails, the BRW draw, our store and our customer service.

The short version

• We collect what you give us (your email, and your name and address when you order) and what our website and our partners record about how you use it.
• We use it to run the store, your subscription, the draw and our emails, and to measure and show our ads.
• We don't sell your information for money. We do let our advertising partner, Meta, collect information on our site to measure and show our ads. Some states call that a "sale", "sharing" or "targeted advertising", and you can opt out of it.
• We honor the Global Privacy Control signal.
• You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at hello@getbrw.com, wherever you live in the US.

What we collect

What you give us

• Your email address, when you join our list or enter the draw.
• Your order details, when you buy: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number if you give one, what you bought, and your subscription details.
• What you tell us when you email us or use our contact form.
• If you win the draw: your name, your shipping address, and your confirmation that you meet the rules.
• If you report a reaction to one of our products: what you tell us about it.

Payment details. Card payments are handled by Shopify's payment processing, and other payment methods (such as Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay) by those companies. We never see or store your full card number.

What our website records automatically

• Your device, browser, IP address, and approximate location worked out from your IP address.
• The pages you visit, the links you click, the site that sent you to us, and actions such as joining the list, adding to cart and buying.
• Whether you open our emails and which links you click in them.

We collect this with cookies, pixels and similar tools (see Cookies and tracking tools below).

From our partners. Advertising platforms tell us how our ads performed. Shopify tells us when an order looks fraudulent.

How we use it

• To take, ship and support your orders, and to run your subscription.
• To run the draw: to pick and contact the winner, deliver the prize, and answer requests for the winner's name.
• To send our emails, if you joined our list.
• To answer your messages.
• To measure our website and our ads, and to show our ads to you and to people like our customers on Meta (Facebook and Instagram).
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
• To keep the records the law requires, such as tax records and records of reports about a product's safety.

Our emails

• When you join the list at getbrw.com, you agree to get our emails. While the draw is open, joining the list is also how you enter it (see the official draw rules).
• We send our emails through an email service, which records whether you open them and which links you click.
• Every email has an unsubscribe link. Once you unsubscribe, we keep your address on a do-not-email list so we don't email you again.
• We don't send text messages.

The draw

We use entrants' email addresses to run the draw. We use the winner's name and address to deliver the prize. We keep the list of entries until the prize has been delivered and the time to ask for the winner's name has passed (December 31, 2026). After that we delete it. This doesn't remove you from our email list; you can unsubscribe at any time.

When you join the list or buy, we may send Meta a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address or phone number, so it can match the action to an account on its platform. These companies may combine what they collect with other information they have about you, under their own privacy policies:

Who we share it with

• Companies that run parts of our business for us, using your information only to do that work: Shopify (our store, checkout and payments), our email service (our emails), our subscription app, USPS and our shipping software (delivery), and our email inbox provider (customer service).
• Advertising partners: Meta, as described above.
• When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
• If our business is sold or merged, with the new owner, who must follow this policy.
• With your permission.

Your choices about ads

• Opt out on our site: use the "Your privacy choices" link at the bottom of every page. We will stop sharing your information for targeted advertising from that browser.
• Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends the GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out for that browser.
• The platforms' own settings: your ad settings on Facebook and Instagram, and industry opt-outs at https://optout.aboutads.info and https://optout.networkadvertising.org.
• Your browser: you can block or delete cookies. Some parts of the store, such as the cart, need them to work.
• Do Not Track: there is no common standard for browsers' "Do Not Track" setting, so we don't respond to it. We do honor Global Privacy Control.

Your rights

Several US states give their residents privacy rights. We offer these rights to everyone in the United States, wherever you live. You can ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy you can take elsewhere
• correct information that is wrong
• delete your information (we may keep what the law requires us to keep, such as tax records)
• stop selling or sharing your information, and stop using it for targeted advertising

We don't use your information to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.

How to ask. Email hello@getbrw.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. We will confirm the request by email, from the address we have for you, before we act on it. Someone you authorize can ask for you; we may ask for proof of that. We answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you, and we will take no more than 45 days more. It's free.

If we say no, we will tell you why. You can appeal by replying to our answer with "Appeal" in the subject. We will answer your appeal within 60 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact your state's attorney general.

We will not treat you differently, or charge you more, for using these rights.

Health information

We don't ask for information about your health, and we don't use what you buy to draw conclusions about your health. If you tell us about a reaction to one of our products, we use what you tell us only to look into it, refund you, and keep the safety records the law requires.

Children

Our store and our draw are for adults. You must be 18 or older to buy or to enter the draw. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

• Orders: as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually up to 7 years.
• Our email list: until you unsubscribe. After that, only your address on our do-not-email list.
• Draw entries: until December 31, 2026 (see The draw above). The winner's details are kept as order records.
• Your messages to us: up to 3 years.
• Reports of a reaction to a product: 6 years, as federal law requires for dietary supplements.
• Website and ad data: for the period set in each tool.

Security

We use the security of the services we work with, such as Shopify's, and limit who on our team can see your information. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure.

Where your information is kept

We are a US business. Some of the companies we work with, such as Shopify, may store or process your information outside the United States.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date. If a change is significant, we will also tell you by email or with a notice on our site.
